What is the right name for sin and what are mortal sins?
Sin is all that harms a person’s vital activity and interferes with the fulfillment of his mission or the achievement of his goals. That which interferes with a person’s normal life is a sin. Thus, stepping on a nail and hurting your foot is a sin, poisoning with poor-quality products is also a sin. Eating and exorbitant body weight is a sin. Envy is also a sin, because it corrodes the soul of a person and directs his thoughts, and then actions, on the wrong path. A person begins to want not what he really needs, but to want what he wanted, and most likely, he does not need it at all.
What are "deadly sins"?
Mortal sins are called so because if they are not released, a person does not repent, does not overcome them, then they make it impossible for a person to live without a sin. Mortal can be any sin, if he strongly possessed a man and turned into a passion.
God is love
You, probably, heard many times to nobody understandable, but then often used phrase: “God is love”. So, in order to understand this truthful expression, it is necessary to consider at a logical rather than an intuitive level, which is understood as the word “love”. Love is such a relationship between two objects, the action of which brings mutual benefit to both objects. That is, one object benefits the other.
For example, the roof of the house protects the walls from moisture and is useful to the walls. In turn, the walls keep the roof on themselves and they are useful to the roof. Between them there is a relationship of utility, or love, provided that the roof is not too heavy for the walls, and the walls are able to hold the roof in the right position. If the weight of the roof turns out to be too heavy for the walls, then they will collapse, and the relationship between these objects cannot be called love, but rather, enmity. In a relationship of love, objects cannot harm each other; they only bring benefit.
What is “life in Christ”?
God wants to return a person to a sinless state, to a state of grace, when a person will not be influenced by evil himself and will not generate evil with his way of thinking and with his deeds. This condition is called life under God, or in God, or they say: "Life in Christ."In general, this is a normal life, which, in fact, was conceived for man by the Higher Forces, and not the sinful one that the person on earth is leading now. To move on to this normal life, it is not necessary, by the way, to die.
There were, however, few examples when people lived on earth normally, without sin, and quite happily, or in the church language — blissfully. So, in order to begin to move towards such a blissful, or normal, happy, life, it is necessary to overcome your sins.
A new look at the sin of adultery
Judge for yourself: if God is life and love for people, and you are subject to the sinful state of mental condemnation and dislike for people, how can God cooperate with you when you and He are engaged in completely different things ?!
Even mental fornication and adultery are a terrible sin of man.
The fact is that in a love relationship, the human souls of the two merge into one and are like a single whole, otherwise a child with the properties of father and mother could not be born at the same time. At the merging of souls, the sinful properties of souls are combined and united, just like the righteous ones. God is willing to endure such a transformation and work out a new recipe for healing againformed union.
Now imagine that a loving person like alliances arise every month. Who wants to recycle healing recipes every month or more often? Moreover, a person abundant in love constantly adds new complexes of sins from all his new partners, so the Heavenly Forces are deciding to correct such a person, apparently, for now not to lead.
Adultery thus impedes the beginning of the transition to a sinless and good life and therefore leads a person to the mortal sinful life.
